Chapter Annual Meeting and Dinner

The 2009 Annual Dinner and Election will be held on Saturday November 7th at The Inn at Towamencin (Best Western Hotel), just off the Northeast Extension in Kulpsville, PA (exit 31, Lansdale). The event will cost $33 per person; registration deadline is Oct 30th.

Speaker

Geoffrey Grahm, an accomplished mountain climber, will speak at this year's annual meeting. Geoffrey will give a presentation on his 2007 assent of Aconcagua, the highest peak in the western hemisphere.

At 6,962 metres (22,841 ft), Cerro Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Americas, and the highest mountain outside Asia. It is located in the Andes mountain range in the Argentine province of Mendoza. The summit is located about 5 kilometers from San Juan Province and 15 kilometers from the international border with Chile. Aconcagua is the highest peak in both the Western and Southern Hemispheres.

Election

The annual election of officers to the chapter Executive Committee will be held during the Annual Dinner, in accordance with the chapter by-laws. A vote on approval of the officers will be held during dinner. All members should review the slate of nominees for the 2010 Executive Committee prior to attending the dinner.
