Note about directions: The Google map looks a bit strange but the address was verified by entering it into a GPS then driving to the park. The directions given on the Park website are wrong. If you remove Point Pleasant and replace it with Pipersville in the address field the map will give you the correct directions. As of June 14th, River Road (Rt. 32) is open South of the Rt. 263 junction. People arriving via Rt. 202 can exit in New Hope and take River Road north. At Point Pleasant, look for the Cafferty Road sign. The road is on the left and is just north of the Point Pleasant store.
The Dan Boro - Point - Pleasant Pike remains shuttered between Tohickon Hill Road (at Point Pleasant) and Toll Gate Road. Detour signs are up. If you are arriving via Rt. 611 be aware of this closing.
The Basics: Past year's Chapter picnics featured a cookout with hamburgers, hotdogs and veggie burgers along with all the fixings provided by the Chapter. On-site games such as softball, volleyball and horseshoes were also featured in past years. This year is no different, all these activities will be back.
New this year New this year are the options to swim and overnight camp. There is a pool in the park and overnight facilities are available to tent camp or to stay in cabins. If you desire to tent camp or to stay in a cabin please make your own reservation. We suggest you get together with others and share a campsite or cabin. For more information visit this park website. The combination of new and old makes this an ideal way to spend a weekend. We invite you to bring your entire family.
Pre-Picnic Activities: What would be an AMC event without some activities. This year's schedule features the following:
One more thing: Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish, salad or dessert - enough to feed four or more people. Please let me know what you are bringing when you RSVP
Oh, before I forget: In an effort to host events in a more “green” manner, we are also asking guests to bring along a reusable plate, utensils and a cup. Note: Glassware and alcohol are not allowed in the park. The Park does allow well-behaved dogs but they must be kept on a short lease.
Please RSVP: Contact Stephanie Wall, Social Chair at stephaniewall3@gmail.com. and let her know what dish you are bringing.
Check back from time-to-time. We'll update this page with changes should any occur.
