Outdoor Leadership Training
The chapter's Leadership Committee holds a training weekend each Spring, to teach potential activity leaders the skills they'll need to lead trips for the club. The 2012 training weekend is scheduled for the weekend of April 13th -15th. Visit the Chapter Leadership Training Page for details.
You can also take advantage of the Connecticut chapter's Leadership Training weekend, offered each November in Litchfield, CT. Find out more about the CT chapter's course on their website. Either of these courses meets the basic training requirement of the DV Chapter Leadership Requirements.
These courses covers many aspects of being a trip leader, and are led by AMC volunteers and staff. DV Chapter members completing either course will be certified as trip leaders upon completion of two successful co-leads on DV Chapter trips, per the Requirements.
