Joining the Appalachian Mountain Club

Join now by filling out the online membership application!

Current members may renew your membership online, or update your membership information (address/phone/chapter affiliation) online by going to the AMC Member Center.

If you have questions or would like more information, please email our membership chair at membership@amcdv.org.

While it is not necessary to be a member of AMC to join in its activities, joining can make learning about what is going on in the Northeastern outdoors a lot easier. You learn not only about the Delaware Valley Chapter activities but the opportunities and benefits offered by the other AMC chapters, as well as those of AMC itself. These include workshops, excursions around the world, over 57 facilities and camps throughout the Northeast, and volunteer activities to name just a few. Details can be found in the six issues per year magazine AMC Outdoors, which members receive!

You can join AMC with a regular annual membership, or the Delaware Valley Chapter offers a one-time free trial period of up to three months where you receive an issue of the Chapter Newsletter and schedule, Appalachian Footnotes which has all the activities and events of the Chapter. The free period is a nice way to "try us on for size". If you like the way we fit your needs, you probably will want to become a regular AMC member.

During the free period, you would not be a member of the AMC, would not receive our weekly email news and activity listings or would not receive AMC Outdoors. However, you can attend any Chapter activities that you have the skills and equipment for. There are many activities that are ideal for someone just getting "started." To receive your complimentary issue of FootNotes with information on current hikes and activities offered by the Chapter, send a request by email to Info with your name and your mailing address. A membership application will be sent along with your copy of Footnotes.

Our free period is a start-up offer, and you are only permitted one.
