Don’t Miss the Second Annual Club-wide Spring Fling!

;The first Club-wide Spring Fling was held last April at the Mohican Outdoor Center in Delaware Water Gap and was such a huge success that it was decided to make it an annual event. AMC members from all 12 chapters (Maine to Washington DC) gathered at Mohican for a weekend of hiking, paddling, food, fun and festivities. Whether talking about the great variety of activities, the helpful and enthusiastic volunteers, the awesome food, the ideal weather or the convenient and scenic location, participants agreed that it was a really fun weekend for everyone.

This year’s event will take place on the weekend of April 30 - May 2. Scheduled activities include numerous hikes of varying lengths and difficulty, road and mountain biking trips on scenic Delaware Water Gap roads and rail trails, canoeing and kayaking on Catfish Pond (boats and instruction provided), tours of local historic sites, a visit to the Lakota Wolf Preserve, and much more. Great meals, including a fabulous Saturday night feast prepared by Chef Jim Catozzi, will again be a feature of the weekend.

The cost for the weekend, which includes all meals on Saturday and Sunday as well as happy hour on Friday and Saturday, is $139 for those staying in one of the newly-renovated cabins at Mohican (which have multiple bedrooms, restrooms with showers, and full kitchens). For those who prefer to tent on one of the lovely lakeside sites, the cost is only $89 for two or more persons per tent site ($109 for one person per site)
